The learning specialist and teachers at Fatima picked up early on that our son has some struggles with writing. Instead of assuming it was a passing phase, the specialist and teacher met with our family and helped us collaborate with other specialists to address the issues. They were very helpful in communicating with us regarding his progress and implementing a plan for him. It was something that they caught early on and if he had been in an over crowded class they may have not picked up on. We are very grateful to have teachers that care so much!

Yes. I struggle with math a lot and the first quarter I wasn’t happy with my math grade. I was very frustrated. When I told Ms.Chambers about my feelings, she helped me and we worked through problems together. She made me feel important and smart. The second quarter I got a much better grade! Ms. Chambers really helped me understand math better and have more confidence.

One of my favorite things about teaching is that I love to watch the excitement that my students show in an everyday activity. My young students are excited to learn. I like knowing that my students will learn something new every day, and they come into the room with the expectation that we will learn something new.

We chose to send our daughter to Fatima for many reasons including the positive experience I had attending the school. We also love how close the school is to our house, the small class sizes, the close knit community and the truly dedicated teachers. In addition we are grateful she gets to go to a Catholic school. The cost was also very competitive for preschool and pre-K!

Our decision to send our children to Fatima have been reaffirmed by the quality teaching staff, the sense of community, and our first child's academic/social growth in Pre-K. As a first-year family, these are aspects for which we didn't quite know what to expect. We are happy to see our child thriving and plan to send our second child to Fatima as well.

In the Fall of 2020, Principal Taylor called me in a panic after there was an unplanned teacher vacancy in Kindergarten. As a planner, this would typically be something I would have to think about and lose sleep over, but the confidence and faith Lisa had in me, gave me no choice but to say “yes” on the spot. The families and staff here embraced me and treated me as if I had always been a part of this community and faculty. I was given the opportunity to regain my confidence as a teacher again. I knew after this experience, this place was special. The belief in my ability and confidence by my co-workers here, made that happen. I would not be in the position I am in today without the support and encouragement from my fellow teachers and from Lisa. She has given me professional and spiritual guidance like no other and I know this is why God brought our family to this school. Everything about this school embodies the mission wholeheartedly, it is “Made for Greatness”.

The Our Lady of Fatima community holds a special place in my heart. Those who make up the community strongly believe in a common goal for our youth – that of spiritually and intellectually preparing Catholic leaders. The very core of our school is built upon the goal of academic excellence with Catholic vision. The faculty, staff, and I share in this vision of providing a learning environment where children can thrive, feel comfortable taking risks, and ultimately get to heaven. The success of our school is only possible through the dedication of our parish and school parents who are investing in a Catholic education. I am amazed at the generosity of this community. I started my career as a third-grade teacher at Fatima and I couldn’t believe I was blessed to be at such an amazing school that was so supported by the community. I still feel that way 34 years later.
